3-D Endodontics: 3-D Diagnosis (CBCT) and 3-D Disinfection of the Root Canal System
The importance of correct diagnosis and treatment planning must not be underestimated. The first part of this course will focus on a predictable systematic diagnostic protocol including the cone beam CT (CBCT), which has provided the clinician with a more definitive diagnostic tool to achieve the diagnostic objectives. The second part of the course will focus on methods to improve endodontic disinfection in the root canal system. Evidence-based research with respect to the latest, most suitable and safest irrigant delivery systems that are essential for efficient irrigation and the success of endodontic treatment will be discussed. Focus will be on apical negative pressure and its comparison with positive pressure irrigation.
Participants will be able to:
- learn to perform a systematic diagnostic protocol and treatment plan.
- understand the logistics and significance of CBCT technology for accurate endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning.
- learn how to remove the smear layer and biofilm using state-of-the-art irrigation protocols with passive ultrasonic irrigation and apical negative pressure using the Endo Vac™ Pure Irrigation System.
